Our Society was formed in 1893 and has been going strong ever since. We offer guided walks and presentations, where you can make friends.

About

We observe natural history directly by taking planned & guided walks in all areas of East Sussex and the Kent border. We also offer natural history presentations and each year we publish a Journal detailing all our findings. If you love wildlife and landscape, then please join us.

Walks

Our walks vary between three and six miles. Routes are checked for safety and feasibility by the walk leader prior to the event. Sometimes we have specialist guides with us. The aim is to see as much wildlife and landscape as we can.

Talks

We have guest speakers for presentations, usually lasting an hour, with time at the end for questions. We break in the middle of the presentation for refreshments and a raffle on each occasion.

News

We highlight all the aspects of wildlife conservation - positive or negative. Our news links also shows projects we are working on.
